1.A connecting hyperlink of an O-ring Chain for general application is pre-coated with grease at the pins. Just before connection, verify the grease about the surfaces of pins, and if the amount of grease is small, apply grease with bare hands. (If gloves are used, the grease will be absorbed through the gloves.)
Illustration: When the connecting hyperlink (I) of an O-ring chain for standard application is
shipped, O-rings are fitted with the roots from the pins. If the O-rings come loose due to vibration all through transport, refit the O-rings in towards the roots of your pins.
In this instance, make sure you return the grease collected at the roots of your pins towards the central surfaces of the pins, extra at portion A than at portions B shown inside the above illustration. (Portions A is worn because of sliding together with the bushings.)
two.The chain could be most simply linked around the teeth of the sprocket. Engage the hyperlinks at the two ends of the chain using the sprocket teeth and fit connecting pins. If the sprocket is usually moved, the chain can also be connected to the loosened side.
3. Connecting process
one.Verify that O-rings are connected to the roots from the pins.
two.In case the volume of grease applied over the connecting pins is tiny, coat the pins with grease with the central portions.
3.Insert the connecting pins in to the bushings of your inner links at the two ends.
4.Confirm that the grease is applied for the entire encounter of the O-ring, and match the O-ring onto the connecting pins.
5.Insert the connecting pins to the connecting plate and whilst pressing the connecting plate, install the spring clip. Confirm whether or not the head (the finish without a split) of your spring clip is turned while in the feeding path from the chain. (See the next illustration.)
6.Make sure to verify the spring clip is securely fitted inside the clip grooves in the connecting pins.
This completes jointing of the connecting website link. Note that grease within the surfaces of connecting pins and O-rings is usually removed in the course of installation perform. In this case, re-grease using the grease about the surface in the base chain or the grease within the polyethylene bag during which the connecting hyperlink was contained.
